Friday, May 5th 6:40pm: Zack Greinke (2-2 3.19) vs. German Marquez (0-1 7.20)
The Rockies and Dbacks will have a rematch of the NL clash that happened a week ago, except this one will take place in Colorado. The Rockies took two of three in Arizona so hopefully a home battle will yield the same results. Marquez will take the mound and try to replicate his last start in which he had a quality outing. This series could give a team a chance to really show their worth and prove that they are to be taken seriously.
Saturday, May 6th 6:10pm: Patrick Corbin (2-3 2.29) vs. Tyler Anderson (1-3 7.71)
This could be Anderson’s last chance to get it together before being sent down, as he has struggled in every start so far after a really good 2016. He will face Patrick Corbin who has a much worse record than how he has pitched. Arizona has not supported him very much despite his pitching well. The Rockies will try and have more success against him than their last time out, as he closed the series and kept the Rockies from getting the sweep. The offense will need to step up at home and in this series as they have been faltering lately, being kept afloat by recent arrival Desmond and Ryan Hanigan on Thursday.
Sunday, May 7th 1:10pm: TBD vs. TBD
The series match ups in the finale have not yet been decided, but this is a day game and both of these offenses are potent, so it could end up a high scoring affair. The Rockies will try and take two of three to remain atop the NL West, but the Dbacks have a lot to show to try and take the lead back. Neither of these teams were predicted to be leading the division early on, so it is certainly nice to see some unfamiliar faces at the top of the West.
